CA is one of those professions, which apart from being attractive are also full of opportunities of growth. The profession of Chartered Accountancy is associated with maintaining accounts and calculations in business and trade. Basically, it is a field of financial management. Responsibilities in this field include,

  • Market rating/ grading

  • Market research

  • Cost analysis

Career in this profession can be started in various ways. CAs may find job opportunities in industries, financial institutions, banks, commercial houses, government services and corporations. Besides, CAs can also be employed in those entities where financial management is required. In these institutions, CAs work in different capacities. Apart from a proper job, a CA may start as a trainee, in the firm in which he has done his articleship, and may also become a partner in the same firm. After acquiring practicing certificate from ICAP, a CA may also begin private practice. Moreover, CAs are also in high demand in the field of education, not only as teachers, but can also open their own accounts education tutor academy, with the permission of ICAP. All issues pertaining to CAs and their firms are controlled through ICAP. Around 25 accounting education tutor academies are operating in 8 major cities of Pakistan, which are recognized by ICAP. There are sufficient job opportunities for CAs in the country, because currently, the number of CAs is quite low, as compared to their demand. The authencity of this statement can be judged by the fact, that to date, no CA is unemployed. Not only in our own country, but CAs of Pakistan are highly demanded abroad as well, specifically in Middle Eastern countries. The total members of ICAP is 3,326, out of which 801 CAs are engaged in public sector, whereas, 2137 CAs are working in various industries, commercial houses, educational sector, and government services. Besides, those employed abroad sum up to 631.

People acquiring the education of CA, start with a salary of 25,000 to 30,000. Besides, other benefits and perks are also available. Mostly people think that becoming a CA, and passing its examinations is a quite difficult task. But one can prove this conviction wrong, with hard work, determination and enthusiasm.
