Pakistan is an agricultural country and its
economy mostly depends on agriculture. Total area of the
country is 12, 85, 78,308 hectare, out of which 7, 96,10, 000
hectare comprises of forests and agricultural land. According
to the agricultural census, 70% population of the country
directly or indirectly makes their earnings through this
profession. Keeping in view, the importance of this profession
there is requirement of educated people to join this sector,
so that they can come up with new research and inventions. To
fulfill this requirement there are 4 agricultural
universities, 4 agricultural colleges and one institute of
forestry in Pakistan.
