Flying is not only a hobby but it can be taken up as a career by becoming a pilot. Pilots take the passengers and luggage inside and outside the country. Pilots are of two types:

1. Commercial Pilots

2. Fighter Pilots

Here we are discussing the career of commercial pilots only.
Before flying, a pilot acquires all the necessary training of flying and he has to pass through certain examination. On a plane, a Captain Pilot is responsible for all the operations of the plane. Captain pilot, is the most experienced and senior pilot of the plane. Captain pilot is accompanied by the co-pilot, who is responsible for the airports, cabin crew and is in full contact with the passengers during the flight.
Responsibility of a pilot starts before flying like pre-flight checking, checking of instruments and equipments and briefing the flight crew etc. After this, comes the stage of flying the plane, in which the most important part is take – off and landing. It is also pilot’s responsibility to bring the air craft in its final position after landing, to close the engines and to prepare the flight report. This profession involves great risk and responsibility because a minor carelessness by the pilot could cause great danger to the lives of several people.
To become a pilot, one has to under go a very tough training. There are six flying clubs in Pakistan, where one can get the training of flying. There is only one governmental airline and three private airlines. There are about 300 on duty pilots in these airlines. One can get jobs in International and national airlines. One can also become an Instructor at a flying school or a club. Pilot’s salary and benefits are very lucrative .Initially a pilot earns 15000 rupees ; apart from this he also gets flying allowance at every flight. In this profession one not only fulfills his dream but also get a chance to travel all over the world.
