Career as Insurance Agents
Insurance is the mode that indemnifies people and
establishments suffering accidents and losses. Developed
countries have insurance for almost every thing; from a car to
a space shuttle and from human life to human body parts, all
are insured! In Pakistan insurance industry is only 0.5% of
country’s GDP and is sub-divided into two major types:

Life Insurance

General Insurance
At present there are 54 small and large
insurance companies working in Pakistan, this includes 49
general insurance and 5 life insurance services companies.
This industry offers two distinct job opportunities:
Office work normally includes,

Under writers
-
Actuaries
-
Claim issuers
-
and clerks etc.
Filed work includes,

Business agents
-
Inspectors
Every section has its own duties and
responsibilities. Business agents or Inspectors act as a
bridge between the insurance company and its clients. Types of
policies, selection of policies, payment of premium and other
required information are provided by business agents.
Before starting as an insurance agent a course from insurance
institute is required. Afterwards any insurance company can be
joined on monthly stipend with a commission on every sale of
policy. Even one can self-employ in this field by acquiring a
license, but this offers only commission on each policy sold.
If you are confident, social, and good in speech and can
influence people along with interest in sales, you too can
