Montessori Education
It is said that the learning for a child starts since the time
of birth. That’s why the early stage of learning for a child
is considered important. Children quickly learn at this stage
and their personality also starts building up at this stage.
For parents this stage is in fact very testing and they have
to consider few points in mind as well, like;
-
Not to compare their child with other
children as each child has his own learning capability,
intelligence and nature.
-
Learning for children is an ongoing
process, so not to hurry.
-
To encourage children on small things and
avoid punishments in front of others.
-
Prepare the child mentally for admission
in school and develop positive thinking about school in him.
-
After admission to school do not think
your self free from responsibilities but keep yourself
involved.
-
At the early stage of life don’t put over
burden of studies on the child but let him learn according
to his age and environment.
-
Give importance to child’s opinion and
don’t impose your opinion over them, try to convince them.
Remember this is the stage that will make or break your
child! It’s important that both mother and father fulfill
their responsibilities so that the child can grow into a
balanced personality.
Primary Education
A child is usually admitted in class 1 at the age of 5. At
this stage the education starts. From class 1 to class 5 is
primary education; at this stage new subjects are added into
the syllabus. This stage is considered as the base for future
education. During this time of life kids start to recognize
things on their own. Their view of world is expanding at this
stage and every moment brings a new experience for them. Kids
in fact enjoy a lot during this stage of life. Their center of
interest at this stage is more extra curricular activities
rather than curricular activities. Change also starts in their
behavior and attitudes. Idealizing different things,
personalities, future planning and experimentation is also
associated to this age in particular. |
