A call centre is a place where different telephone calls are attended to provide required information and calls are made as well.

Call centers are of two types:

  1. Domestic call centers

  2. International Cal centers

The first call center was created in the United Kingdom. Calls centers are the unique way of customer and company contact in this modern world. Call centers 
Are used to achieve different objectives like,

  • sales

  • marketing

  • customer services

  • answer and messaging services

  • market research

  • different data and information collection

These people present in call centers are known as CCAs (Call Center Agents). One can start a career in a call center as a CCA. In regard to this some private institutes also run short training courses. Considering the importance of customer contact, call centers have tremendously grown and have turned into an industry. According to a foreign expert, the call center industry has become over 1,150 million dollars worth industry, which is growing 30% every year. In Pakistan this field is in the early stages of growth. Considering the steps taken by the government and the expanding demand of this field, the growth of this it in Pakistan is also very optimistic. 

If we look at the ads that were published in news papers regarding job opportunities in the recent past, about 3-4 ads within a week were regarding this field. The start of job in this field offers pay from 10,000 to 40,000. Seeing the pace of growth this can be predicted that in future this sector would produce various job opportunities.
