The National University of Sciences and
Technology (NUST) is a
public
university located at several campuses in
Pakistan.
The main campus is located in
Rawalpindi,
Pakistan.It
offers undergraduate and post graduate degrees in the fields of engineering,
information technology
(IT), medical sciences and management sciences. Formed by pooling together
military and civil educational resources, it has rapidly emerged as one of the
leading engineering institutes of the country. NUST was ranked 20th in a
survey of science and technology schools in the Asia-Pacific region in 2000 by
AsiaWeek[1].
Now under a mega project, most of the
constituent colleges and institutes of NUST are being shifted to a 988-acre (4
square kilometer) campus which is being built in Islamabad, Pakistan.

In addition, NUST has also launched "NUST
Consulting", a project to create university-industry linkages and provide
solutions to engineering and management problems in the industry. It has also
recently started a Technology Incubation Center in
Islamabad
to bridge the gap between its faculty and students and the industry.
